What To Wear

There is no such thing as bad weather just bad clothing.


To ensure that each child attending our sessions has the best possible experience in the woods it is vital that they are correctly dressed.

Every Session

  • Long sleeved top
  • Long trousers
  • Waterproof coats
  • Waterproof trousers (to protect them from getting to wet and muddy)
  • Warm socks
  • Waterproof footwear

Wet and Cold Days

  • Waterproof warm coats
  • Thermal base layers
  • Second pair of socks
  • Hat, snood, scarf, gloves, mittens
  • Snow boots or lined neoprene boots- no wellies

Warm Days

  • Sunhat
  • Sunscreen and insect repellent
  • Ensure shirt and trousers are long enough to protect from ticks and insects bites
